(live-PR.com) - Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski has a lead of 2.7% over his closest rival in Sunday's early presidential elections in Poland, the top election official told journalists on Monday. Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the late Polish president Lech Kaczynski's brother is second with close two percent votes difference and Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) Grzegorz Napieralski was third, with 13.89% of the vote.

Bronislaw Komorowski in race for president fallen short of the 50 per cent of the vote to declare victor. With available results show Komorowski is leading Kaczynski’s identical twin, Jaroslaw Kaczynski.The two leaders will now go head-to-head in a runoff vote on July 4th.

Sunday's snap presidential elections in Poland, RIA Novosti reports.40.13% have voted for Komorowski and 37.42% for Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the twin brother of late Polish president Lech Kaczynski. 36-year-old leader of the Democratic Left Alliance Grzegorz Napieralski is trailing behind with 13.89% of the vote. Exit polls released late on Sunday gave first-round the victory to Komorowski.

With 48.88% of ballots counted, acting Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski has a lead of 2.7% over his closest rival in Sunday's early presidential elections in Poland.
