Indian women shooter bags two CWG Gold medals

India placed five more boxers into the semifinals on Sunday to assure the host nation of seven medals at the Commmonwealth Games knockout competition at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium.India had seven boxers in eight weight categories on Sunday and they lost just two bouts.
World number one and Olympic Bronze medallist Vijender SINGH (IND) eased into the semifinals of the Middleweight (75kg) category with a first-round knockout of Elias NASHIVELA (NAM).In what shapes up as a classic match-up, SINGH next takes on Anthony OGOGO (ENG), who smashed Lawal LUKMON (NGR) 10-0.
In Boxing Indian winners on Sunday were Jai BHAGWAN in Lightweight (60kg), Dilbag SINGH in Welterweight (69kg), Manoj KUMAR (IND) in Light Welterweight (64kg) Manoj KUMAR (IND) eliminated Melbourne Games Bronze medallist Blackmoses MATHENGE (KEN) with a 6-2 victory. Paramjeet SAMOTA in Super Heavyweight (+91kg).

Indian shooter rush to Gold continues with Mr Harpreet Singh won the individual 25 M centre fire pistol shooting event on Sunday.Vijay kumar won the silver medal,

Professor Vikay Kumar Malhotra said that we expected the Gold and silver.Sports Minister Dr MS Gill said,"He is satisfied with the performance of the shooters."

The second Gold to Deepika Kumari in Women's Recurve Individual event,defeating Williamson Alison Jane of England 6-0 former Olypic medalist.

India thus achieve total 26 CWG gold medals.Dola Banerjee won the bronze after beating Malaysian Anbarasi Subramaniam 6-2 in the third place play-off.She was delighted with her victory.
Third Gold for India 27 CWG Gold was won by Rahul Banerjee in Men’s individual recurve event.India’s Somdev Devvarman clinches gold from Matt Ebden of Australia in the Men's single gold thus 28 th Gold.Sania Mirza-Rushmi Chakravarthi won bronze in the women's doubles, beating Nirupama Sanjeev-Pooja Venkatesh.

Prajusha Maliakkal in high jump, won silver Alice Falaiya clinched the Gold on top by clearing 6.50m in her last jump.

Quite surprise Vikas Gowda won silver in the men’s discus throw.
In Women’s 112 Cycling race Australia won the Gold and Silver while New Zealand took bronze.
Super Heavyweight 91kg upset, Tariq ABDUL HAQQ defeated Commonwealth Championships finalist Joseph PARKER (NZL) on countback after the bout ended 7-7.

India has tally of 29 Gold,22 Silver 22 Bronze Total of 73 medal.
Australia on top 61 Gold 38 silver 37 Bronze.Total of 136 medal
