Croatian protesters for government to resign

Croatian protesters on International women day paraded in the streets Zagreb alleging the government of economic imbalance widespread corruption a march on a bankrupt factory following privatisation in the capital, Zagreb.Anti-government protest rally held in Vinkovci: The anti-government protest started at 1800 hours on Tuesday in Zagreb's Cvjetni Trg square from which disgruntled citizens started a march through the city.Some 500 people gathered in the Cvjetni Trg square who then started walking towards the central Ban Josip Jelacic square. Many citizens joined in the walk so the number of protesters climbed to several thousand, according to reporters' assessments.reports Media

Protesters headed to Franjo Tudjman Square where the Kamensko textile factory, which is in receivership, is located.Kamensko workers joined the protest walk.Workers were chanting "Everyone to the Streets" and carrying banners reading "Direct Democracy - Down with the Government, Down with Parliament," "Union? No Thanks," "We Don't Need Leaders To Decide - Direct Democracy," "Happy Women's Day, Jadranka," "Give back the money you stole."
