Tropical storm Nock-ten in Philippines

The death toll from tropical storm Nock-ten has reached to fourteen in the Philippines as of Wednesday morning, the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.In its latest situation report, the council said 14 people have died, while nine others remained missing and more than 129,000 families have been affected by the tropical storm.

The center of Nock-ten was estimated at 90km east of Infanta, Quezon province in central Philippines with maximum winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. Nock-ten is forecast to move west-northwest at 11kph.
Tropical Depression "Nock-ten" ("Juaning") has intensified into a tropical storm Tuesday morning, bringing heavy rains and floods in several northern Philippine provinces.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said "Nock-ten," which packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center, was seen 100 kilometers northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte. PAGASA forecasts the tropical storm to move west northwestward at 19 kph.
