12 killed as passenger jet crashes in Canada's Arctic region
A passenger jet crashed in Canada's Arctic region yesterday, killing 12 people and injuring three others.

Canadian police say the Boeing 737 jet with 15 people on board went down near Resolute Bay in the Arctic territory of Nunavut. There is no immediate information on the condition of the three survivors.

The airline, First Air, confirming the crash said the plane lost contact when it was about eight kilometers from Resolute Bay airport. The flight was on its way from Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories to Resolute Bay.
