India-born Mamnoon Hussain elected as Pakistan's 12th Prez

India-born Mamnoon Hussain, a close aide of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Tuesday was elected as the 12th President of Pakistan and will replace incumbent Asif Ali Zardari in September.
Hussain emerged as a clear winner in the one-sided contest with ex-judge Wajihuddin Ahmad of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf party, state media reported.
Pakistan People's Party withdrew its candidate Raza Rabbani and boycotted the election in protest to the date of polls being changed.
The polling started at 10.00 AM amidst tight security arrangements.
Born in the historic city of Agra, Hussain, who belongs to an Urdu-speaking ethnic group that migrated from India during partition in 1947, was the candidate of ruling PML-N government.
Over 1,000 members of the national parliament and four provincial assemblies cast their ballots to elect largely ceremonial head of the state.
The office of the president is ceremonial in Pakistan but he is still the constitutional chief of the armed forces but cannot order deployments.
He also appoints the services chiefs at the recommendation of the prime minister. Pakistan so far had 11 presidents, out of which five were military generals.
Four of them seized powers through coups, whereas first president Major Sikandar Mirza was elected in 1956 after the first constitution was adopted.

Mayawati demands for splitting Uttar Pradesh in 4 parts

With the UPA giving its nod for the creation of a separate Telangana state, former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati renewed her demand for splitting the state into four parts, besides creation of Gorkhaland and Vidarbha.

"BSP has always been in favour of smaller states for which it had sent a proposal duly passed by the state Assembly on November 23, 2011, when it was leading the government, for splitting Uttar Pradesh into four states in order to ensure better governance and administration," the BSP supremo told reporters in Lucknow on Wednesday.

"It is unfortunate that the central government kept it pending since then, but with Telangana becoming a reality, BSP demands that on the principle of one language-one state, the Centre, besides reorganising larger states, should also complete the process of division of Uttar Pradesh into four states, besides (formation of) Gorkhakland and Vidarbha," she said.

There are demands to carve out separate Gorkhaland from West Bengal and Vidarbha out of Maharashtra.

She asked the union ministers from UP, who were favouring division of the state, to exert pressure on the central government for the process instead of making tall claims.

Mayawati said when her party was in power, she had created new divisions, zones, districts and tehsils so that better administration could be provided to the people of the state, which is the most populous state in the country.

She said she had proposed splitting Uttar Pradesh into Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Awadh Pradesh and Pashchimanchal.

Single Window Clearance To Promote India as A Films Hub and Destination

Single Window Clearance To Promote India as A Films Hub and Destination – Secretary (I&B)

I&B Ministry Develops Sop for Film Shooting in India Online Portal and Website to Facilitate Applications Ministry Convenes National Workshop on ‘Single Window’ Clearance
The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will be working to mainstream a synchronized ‘Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)’ for obtaining permissions for films shooting in India for both Indian and foreign film producers. This would lead to institutionalization and standardized benchmarks for each critical stakeholder involved in the process. The benchmarks identified in the SOP would clearly identify the responsibility of critical stakeholders in terms of clearances / timelines/ permissions required for films shooting. This was stated by Secretary (I&B), Shri Bimal Julka while delivering his inaugural address at the National Workshop on ‘Single Window Clearance for Film Shooting in India’ here today.

Regarding the initiative of the Ministry, Secretary mentioned that the Ministry was in the process of developing a dedicated online portal for operationalising the ‘Single Window Clearance’ System. The website would include the data on various requirements such as custom clearances, visas, cultural sensibilities etc. A Production Resource Guide highlighting different aspects of production as well as logistics and a digital location library of panaromic images of potential production locations would also form an important component of the online portal. The website will also include information on state-wise facilities like transport, hospitality, medical and other local information for the applicants.

Highlighting the importance of Social Media in the changed communication paradigm, Shri Julka said that the Ministry would actively utilize the new media platforms to provide real time information and facilitate active engagement and interaction with key stakeholders on the single window clearance mechanism. This would enable the seamless transition to online application process.

Elaborating further, Shri Julka said that the challenge before the ministry was to outline steps that would encourage producers to avail of the facility. The roadmap needed to include steps involving the simplification of the process, incentivization of various principles and inputs which would lead to India as a filming hub and synergize the link between films and tourism as the case world over.

During the inaugural session, Shri Raghvendra Singh, Joint Secretary (Films) made a presentation on facilitation of film production in India highlighting the growth of Indian Film Industry in view of the surge of domestic theatrical revenue which grew by 24% and contributed 76% to the Rs.124 billion Indian Film Industry. The relevance of digital dominance was also touched upon highlighting the share of digital format increasing to 80% in 2012. The presentation also touched upon the revenue assessment in view of the exponential growth in theatrical revenue. An overview was also provided regarding the increasing number of co-productions in the country and the deliberations of the Inter-Ministerial Committee constituted to fast track the process.

The day long workshop included interactions with key stakeholders including senior officers from key departments involved at the central level, state government representatives, film producers/ line producers and bodies such as FICCI. A first of its kind, the workshop was organised to review the experiences of the past and the obstacles that many a times led to delays in providing timely clearances/ permissions.

CNN-IBN Poll Survey BJP Funded & Loaded in BJP Favor (C)

CNN-IBN Poll Survey BJP Funded & Loaded in BJP Favor (C)
‘Public Hai Ye Sab Janti Hai’
July28,

Opinion polls have been WILDLY WRONG since 2003, Funded & Loaded in favor of BJP. After BAD poll survey – Pollsters Ought to have carried Out Post Poll Review Survey to understand what went wrong and here we have yet another – worst imaginable Poll Survey. This inventor Can Design Poll Survey that Shall Give 400 Seats to UPA, in 2014 Elections, against 153 projected by latest poll survey.

Polls predicted for Lok Sabha 2004 upto 340 seats for NDA but it actually got just 181 seats. 5-6 members were disqualified for taking bribes for asking questions in the parliament therefore results were exactly half. I can’t imagine the This Massive Manipulation any where in Poll Survey on this planet.

The 2004 Indian general election - Chatham House Briefing Note
‘The BJP’s success in state assembly elections in December2003 prompted the government to dissolve the Lok Sabha in January 2004 and call an early general election. Opinion polls in January suggested that the NDA would win 330-340 seats in the 545-seat parliament and some commentators thought they could secure a two-thirds majority, enabling them to amend the constitution.’

Likewise in LS-2009 Poll Surveys INC was projected to get 144-155 seats but it actually secured 205 seats. Gains for UPA were 83+80 in 2004 and 2009 Elections. There were substantial gains both times not captured by Poll Surveys.

TV News Media itself is responsible owned by Corporate it always had bias against Secular and Socialist government.

TV News media under estimates the ‘INTELLIGENCE OF AAM ADMI’, All the Negative and Shaming TV reporting against GoI over last 3-4 years didn’t work in state elections – except Gujarat where Modi applied all tricks including 50 3D laser image projections simultaneously could won state elections.

Objectives of CNN-IBN Polls were entirely to ‘Expose Every Weak’ spot in INC and its leaders by Loaded Questions.

But BJP & Modi were not exposed by Searching Questions.

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/poll-tracker-nda-to-win-172180-seats-upa-149157-others-147155/409672-37-64.html
NDA to win 172-180 seats, UPA 149-157, oths 147-155

The Survey projections are 20 seats gains for NDA and 106 Loss for UPA is clearly

WORST EVER POLL SURVEY

CNN-IBN Loaded the Survey against INC to reflect its own Campaigns rather than Free & Independent assessment of Voters Perceptions about the entire political situation viewed from their own angles rather than Opinions of Corporate Control Media.

Every person on earth knows it is not Prime Minister but Companies run Industries & Economy. When companies are not performing it is also the responsibility of Opposition to Expose Bad performance of the Companies and Seek penal action including Nationalization.

JUST & FAIR QUESTIONS - Examples

[1.] Instead of Price Rise – Has your Income & Savings Gone Up since 2009?

[2.] On Governance and Slowing Down of Economy - Whom Do You Blame for Slow Down – 1] GoI failure to introduce REFORMS, 2] Corporate Failing to Compete in Open World Economy, 3] Opposition Obstructing Reforms, 4] Corruption and 5] Global Recession?

[3.] On Elections – Why did BJP lost in 2004, 2009 and many State Elections - 1.  Neglect of Poor & Caring Big Corporate, 2. Failure to execute Critical Projects, 3. Communal Outlook, 4. Anti Farmer Policies?

[4.] Has your Living Standard gone up in 5 years.

[5.] Are you getting More Bank Credits than 2009?

With these UPA Seats Shall Exceed 300

[6.]  Which Opposition Party is Hindering REFORMS Opposing Progress, a.] BJP,  b.] Communists,  c.] Socialists?

[7.]  Which Opposition Party Stopped Infrastructure Projects – Nuclear Power, Hydro Power, FDI etc and more. a.] BJP,  b.] Communists,  c.] Socialists?

[8.]  Who do you believe in Gujarat during BJP rule benefit the most – 1] Corporate, 2] Urban Middle Class, 3] Farmers and Rural Poor.

With these UPA Seats Shall Exceed 400

In the Poll Survey Narendra Modi is ranked 5th in Poll Survey behind, Manmohan Singh, Anna Hazare, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi.

Bus crash in southern Italy

Italian tour crushed through a sidewall of a highway bridge in southern Italy, and plunged some 30 meters (100 feet) into a wooded ravine, killing at least 38 people, authorities said on Monday.

Rescuers wielding electric saws cut through the twisted wreckage of the bus overnight, looking for survivors after it had plunged to the ground on Sunday night.

At least 10-meters of the wall was torn away, large chunks were visible in a clearing below.

The bus lost control near the town of Monteforte Irpino in Irpinia, a largely agricultural area about 40 miles (60 kilometres) inland from Naples and about 250 kilometres (160 miles) south of Rome, hitting several cars before plunging off the viaduct.

Traffic on the stretch was slowed due to road work, officials said.

State radio quoted a local police chief as saying the bus driver was among the dead.

It was not immediately clear why the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, but prosecutors were investigating technical problems and had ordered an autopsy on the driver.

A reporter for Naples daily Il Mattino, Giuseppe Crimaldi, told Sky TG24 TV from the scene that some witnesses told him the bus had been going at a “normal” speed on the downhill stretch of the highway when it suddenly veered and started hitting cars.

Some witnesses thought they heard a noise as if the bus had blown a tire. The bus was carrying a group of weekend holidaymakers from the Naples.

The group had arrived from small towns near Naples at a hotel at a the thermal spa on Friday afternoon, and had spent the weekend visiting the spa and an early home of Padre Pio, a late mystic monk popular among Catholics, Michele Montagna, the manager of the hotel told Sky TG24.
