Afghan president invited to speak before US Congress

Afghanistan's president, Ashraf Ghani, has received an invitation to address a joint meeting of the US Congress when he visits Washington next month, AP reports. House Speaker John Boehner, who was behind the initiative, said the speech on March 25 would give the newly-elected Afghan leader a chance to talk about the future of US-Afghan relations at a time when international troops are withdrawing from the country.
